UFC #77 Anderson Silva will beat Rich Franklin, again

By Ozzie | October 17, 2007

This weekend is UFC #77 “Hostile Territory” in Ohio at U.S. Bank Arena.  The much anticipated rematch between Rich Franklin and Anderson Silva, with the middleweight championship on the line.  I expect the “Spider” Silva to successfully defend his title against Franklin and his hometown audience.  In their first fight, Silva used his legs to work the body of Franklin.  Silva clinched Franklin and eventually caught him with a knee, then a few punches.  I don’t think Rich Franklin was prepared that night, I’m sure he has an idea of what he is dealing with this time.  He is facing one of the most complete fighters in UFC.  The “Spider” is very confident and deceptively strong with his long lanky frame.  He is a great striker with excellent ground skills, like most Brazilian fighters.  I expect Anderson Silva to beat him by submission, and not let the home crowd affect the judge’s scorecards.  Take Silva -190
