NCAA Football BCS National Championship; LSU gets to play @ home

By Ozzie | January 7, 2008

The BCS Championship Bowl Game will be played tonight at the Louisiana Superdome, in a virtual home game for the LSU Tigers who face the Ohio State Buckeyes.  It will be the second consecutive year, that the Buckeyes get blown out by a SEC powerhouse team.  I expect LSU to control the run game and use their speed to the outside to neutralize Ohio State’s big defensive lineman.  I feel that Louisiana State has far more superior talent on their roster than any of their opponents this season and the two games they’ve lost in overtime was merely a symbol of an overconfident team.  Les Miles will have his players ready for this one, I foresee him using back-up QB Ryan Perrilloux to switch up the tempo and keep the Buckeyes on their heels.  Tiger wide-out’s Early Doucet and Demetrius Byrd should have a touchdown each by halftime and RB Jacob Hester will earn tough yards in the 2nd half to eat the clock and secure the victory.  On the defensive front, DT Glenn Dorsey is finally healthy and looks to solidify his NFL draft position by playing the game of his life on a national stage.  Take the LSU Tigers (-160)

The LSU Tigers are the National Champions winning in dominant fashion 38-24 against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
