Manchester United’s victory over West Bromwich edged the Reds three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the table with 50 points. Manchester United’s 5-0 demolition of 10-man West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday to complete an English Premier League record 11th match without conceding a goal.
The defending champions have established a three-point lead, but Liverpool can still rejoin by beating Wigan on Wednesday.
